116.2 Unlocking and Manual operationIn the event of malfunctions or simple power failure, release the motor (Pic. 9) and perform the operation manually. The knowledge of the unlocking operation is very important, because in times of emergency the lack of timeliness in acting on sucha device can be dangerous.WARNING The efficancy and safety of manual operation of the automation is guaranteed by DEA System only if the installation hasbeen installed correctly and with original accessories.7 MAINTENANCEGood preventive maintenance and regular inspection ensurelong working life. In the table below you will find a listo f inspections/maintenance operations to be programmed and executed periodi-cally.Consult the TROUBLE-SHOOTING” table whenever anomalies areobserved in order to find the solution to the problem and contactDEA System directly whenever the solution required is not provided.INTERVENTION TYPE PERIODICITYcleaning of external surfaces 6 monthschecking of screw tightening 6 monthschecking of release mechanism operation 6 monthsgreasing of articulated joint 1 yearChecking the oil level 1 yearReplacing the oil 3 years7.1 Checking and replacing the oil (Pic. 12)Replace the oil provided by DEA System after three years of use with one of the same type (see the “Technical data” table). Shouldinspections reveal an insufficient oil level, it means that there must be a leakage. Therefore, check all the closing systems to find the leakand solve it or request spare parts and/or support from DEA System. To replace the oil, open the release cover and release the motor. Next, remove the handle, remove OLI from its attachments and turn itupside down until the oil is fully drained. Top up to its regular level (Fig. 12). Now, assemble the release handle again, taking care that thearrow is set to the OPEN position, and install the motor in the system.WARNING If you remove the OR gasket from the handle unit, water may enter the oil tank causing malfunction and damage the product.Always make sure it is installed.WARNING Water leaks – or of other substances – may occur during adjustment operations. This may damage the pump. Pay specialattention to foreign bodies in the proximity during adjustment operations.TROUBLE-SHOOTINGDescription Possible solutionsWhen the opening command is given, the leaf fails to moveand the operator’s electric motor fails to start. The operator is not receiving correct power supply. Check all connections, fuses, and thepower supply cable conditions and replace or repair if necessary. When the opening command is given, the motor starts butthe leaf fails to move.Always make sure that the operator is closed (if available) (Fig. 9) and adjust the openingand closing pressure.Make sure that the electronic device for electric power adjustment is in good condition. If the piston remains at the complete end of its stroke when the gate is closed, review theassembly procedure. The operator jerks when in motion. It is noisy; it stopshalfway and fails to start again.Possible presence of air inside the cylinder. Release the operator from the front attachmentand carry out a few load-free trial manoeuvres before restoring the attachment.Insufficient amount of oil inside the cylinder. Restore the normal level of oil (Fig. 12) andbleed off the air carrying out a few load-free trial manoeuvres. The operator’s front and rear attachments bend or are not fastened correctly. Repair orreplace.
