Hitting Mute again or Volume upor down will take the subwoofer out of mute state.3. Volume up/down: Increases/decreases the subwoofer’s loud-ness. Note: the volume range goes from 0 to 40.4. EQ: There are 4 program-specific equalization settings; EQ1,EQ2, EQ3 and EQ4, as well as EQ OFF. See Selecting EQ Modes onpage 17 for more information.5. Display: Pressing this button turns the display on or off. Whencommands are issued to the subwoofer, the display will be visiblefor a brief time (about six seconds) and then turn off.6. Night mode: Engaging night mode compresses the dynamicrange so that the peak bass volume level is reduced—ideal for latenight listening or apartment dwellers who care about their neigh-bors. The display will show N_Y when this mode is engaged andN_N when it is turned off. When the subwoofer is turned off withnight mode engaged, it will turn back on with night mode off.7. LP up/down: The adjustable low-pass filter can be adjustedfrom 40 to 140 Hz.8. Phase: Adjusts the relative phase of the output signal. There arefour settings: 0° (displayed as 000), 90° (090), 180° (180), and270° (270).Getting Started1. Power up the subwoofer using the On/Standby button.2. Set volume to the V20 setting on the front panel display.3. Set the LP (low-pass) control according to the chart on page 18to start. The front panel display will show “L” and numerals whenyou are making adjustments to this control.4. Push the Phase button until the display shows “0”.5. Push the display button until the display shows "Off". As astarting point for EQ, OFF is the norm. Use the other four EQpositions to taste.Adjusting & Using the SuperCube SubwooferRemote GuideThe supplied remote control is attached to the subwoofer with a string. Cut the string to remove it. The remote is the best tool forperfectly adjusting your subwoofer to achieve seamless blending with your main speakers. If you misplace your remote, the mostoften used controls are duplicated on the rear amp panel.NOTE: If there is no unobstructed line of sight from your listening position to the display area of the subwoofer, the remote will notwork. To remedy the problem, connect an IR remote repeater eye (optional, available from most audio/video specialty dealers) to theIR remote jack on the subwoofer’s amplifier panel.Volume, LP Filter, Phase and EQcontrols are duplicated on theamp panel.
