CONDITION ACTION NOTES AND COMMENTSRequires routinecleaningMild detergent solutionapplied with soft sponge orcloth. Rinse and wipe dry.If possible use warm to hand-hot water. A 5% addition ofammonia is beneficial.Finger prints Pre-treat finger marks withalcohol or an organic solvent.Follow immediately withroutine cleaning.Minimize re-occurrence byapplying a wax or siliconebased household polish to theclean dry surface.Wipe with a little baby oiland a soft lint free cloth. Buffto shine.Apply whenever necessary.Stubborn stains anddiscolourationUse a little Ceran cleaningpaste. (available from DefyService Centres)Rinse and dry.Repeat several times rather thanresorting to a single aggressivecleaning method.Grease and fat splatter. Wipe off excess with a softcloth or paper towel. Use awater borne degreasing agent(dishwashing liquid). Followup by routine cleaning.Scratches on the brushedfinish.For slight scratches, use anylon pad loaded with aniron free abrasive polishingcompound. Follow thedirection of the originaltexture. Follow up withroutine cleaning. For deepscratches use a coarserabrasive initially and followup as for light scratches.Deep scratches will be difficultto remove completely. Do notuse steel wool or metal scourersunless they are made fromstainless steel.It must be appreciated that some of the above suggested procedures will alter thesurface appearance of the treated area.They should therefore only be applied with due consideration and care. |
