16 Part Number: 9291457 6/19Operation Section 3Equipment StandsRefrigerated base equipment stands are designed and pre-set at the factory to maintain a temperature of 36°F to 40°F(2°C to 4°C). Freezer base equipment stands are designedand pre-set at the factory to maintain a temperature of0°F to -5°F (-18°C to -21°C) interior cabinet temperature at100°F (38°C) ambient room temperature. The temperature iscontrolled by a thermostat.• Continuous opening and closing of the drawerswill hamper the unit’s ability to maintain optimumrefrigeration temperature.• Excess weight on top of the unit will adversely affect theoperation of the drawers.• Storing all acidic items, such as peppers and tomatoeswith lids that are sealable and immediately wiping up allspills of either acid or base items will greatly extend thelife of your unit.Evaporator Fan OperationREFRIGERATOR EVAPORATOR FANWhen the refrigerator is initially powered up or immediatelyfollowing a power outage the unit will begin cooling after a3-6 minute delay. During normal operation the evaporatorfan pulses independently of the compressor as dictated bythe controller as follows:1. During the cooling mode, compressor and evaporatorfan run simultaneously.2. During the compressor off mode, evaporator fan pulsesthree minutes on and three minutes off.3. During an actual defrost event other than the off-cycledefrost, compressor stays off but the evaporator fanruns continuously.Cooling Cycle Defrost CycleCompressor On Compressor Off Compressor OffEvaporator Fan On Evap Fan Cycles On3-Min, Off 3-MinEvaporator Fan OnFREEZER EVAPORATOR FANThe evaporator fan(s) and condenser fan will cycle offand on with the compressor to conserve energy. Thetemperature control will cycle the compressor andcondenser fan motor and evaporator fan motor to maintainbox temperature at the control setting.Cooling Cycle Defrost CycleCompressor On Compressor Off Compressor OnEvaporator Fan On Evaporator Fan Off Evaporator Fan Off
