50 Setting Up Your Monitor Setting Up Your Monitor 51Setting Up Your MonitorSetting the display resolution to 1920 x 1080(maximum)For maximum display performance while using the Microsoft Windowsoperating systems, set the display resolution to 1920 x 1080 pixels byperforming the following steps:In Windows XP®:1. Right-click on the desktop and click Properties.2. Select the Settings tab.3. Move the slider-bar to the right by pressing and holding the left-mousebutton and adjust the screen resolution to 1920 x 1080.4. Click OK.In Windows Vista® ,Windows® 7 or Windows® 8:1. Right-click on the desktop and click Personalization.2. Click Change Display Settings.3. Move the slider-bar to the right by pressing and holding the left-mousebutton and adjust the screen resolution to 1920 x 1080.4. Click OK.If you do not see 1920 x 1080 as an option, you may need to update yourgraphics driver. Please choose the scenario below that best describes thecomputer system you are using, and follow the provided directions:1: If you have a Dell™ desktop or a Dell™ portable computer with internetaccess.2: If you have non Dell™ desktop, portable computer, or graphic card.If you have a Dell desktop or a Dell portablecomputer with internet access1. Go to http://www.dell.com/support/, enter your service tag, and downloadthe latest driver for your graphics card.2. After installing the drivers for your Graphics Adapter, attempt to set theresolution to 1920 x 1080 again.NOTE: If you are unable to set the resolution to 1920 x 1080, pleasecontact Dell™ to inquire about a Graphics Adapter that supports theseresolutions. |
