Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.2. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery).3. Follow the instructions from step 3 to step 15 in Removing the System Board.4. Remove the display assembly (see Removing the Display Assembly).5. Remove the screw that secures the battery release latch to the battery release latch assembly.6. Remove the battery latch spring from the battery release latch assembly and the computer base.Replacing the Battery Release Latch Assembly1. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.2. Hook the battery latch spring to the battery release latch assembly and then to the computer base.3.
