To preventoverheating ensure that you leave at least10.2 cm (4 inches) at the back of the computerand a minimum of 5.1 cm (2 inches) on all othersides. You should never place your computer inan enclosed space, such as a cabinet or drawerwhen it is powered on.WARNING: Do not block, push objectsinto, or allow dust to accumulate in the airvents. Do not place your Dell™ computerin a low-airflow environment, such as aclosed briefcase, while it is powered on.Restricting the airflow can damage thecomputer or cause a fire. The computerturns on the fan when the computer getshot. Fan noise is normal and does notindicate a problem with the fan or thecomputer.CAUTION: Placing or stacking heavy orsharp objects on the computer may resultin permanent damage to the computer.
