Exercise care when handling thehard drive.Procedure1 Remove the new hard drive from its packaging.Save the original packaging for storing or shipping the hard drive.2 Align the screw holes on the hard-drive bracket with the screw holes onthe hard drive.3 Replace the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.4 Connect the hard-drive cable interposer to the hard drive.5 Place the hard-drive assembly in the hard-drive bay on the computer base.6 Replace the screws that secure the hard-drive assembly to the computer base.7 Route the hard-drive cable through the routing guides on the computer base.8 Connect the hard-drive cable to the system-board connector.Postrequisites1 Replace the base cover.
