60Restoring Your Operating SystemOperating SystemReinstallationIf you are considering reinstalling the MicrosoftWindows operating system to correct a problemwith a newly installed driver, first try usingWindows Device Driver Rollback.To roll back a device driver:Click1. Start .Right-click2. Computer.Click3. Properties→ Device Manager.Right-click the device for which the new4.driver is installed, and click Properties.Click the5. Drivers tab→ Roll Back Driver.If Device Driver Rollback does not resolve theproblem, then use System Restore to return youroperating system to the operating state it was inbefore you installed the new device driver. See“System Restore” on page 56.CAUTION: Before performing theinstallation, back up all data files on yourprimary hard drive.
