If either the system board or thefan is replaced, use the thermal pad provided in the kit to make sure thatthermal conductivity is achieved.Procedure1 Clean the thermal grease from the bottom of the heat sink and reapplythe thermal grease.2 Align the captive screws on the heat sink with the screw holes on thesystem board.3 In sequential order (indicated on the heat sink), tighten the captive screwsthat secure the heat sink to the system board.4 Replace the screw that secures the heat sink to the display-panel base.Post-requisites1 Replace the system-board shield.2 Replace the back cover.3 Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 5 in “Replacing the StandAssembly”.61
