Connect to the switch and log in as admin on the M-EOS McDATA switch.2. Enable the MS services by entering the following command:config OpenSysMs setState whereosmsState Can be enable or 1 for the enabled state or disable or 0 for the disabledstate.3. Enable NPIV functionality on the Edge fabric ports so that multiple logins are allowed for eachport. Enter the following command on the M-EOS switch to enable NPIV on the specified ports.config NPIVYour M-EOS switch is now ready to connect.NOTEWhen connected to Brocade FOS-based switches, you can run the agshow command to displayinformation registered with the fabric.Connectivity to Cisco FabricsWhen connecting an FC SAN Module to a Cisco fabric, make sure that NPIV function is enabled onthe Cisco switch ports connected to the Dell 8/4Gbps FC SAN Module. NPIV is enabled by defaulton Cisco MDS switches with SAN OS 3.1 or higher.
