Installing System Components 83The system should have already changed the value to reflect the newlyinstalled memory.13 If the value is incorrect, one or more of the memory modules may not beinstalled properly. Repeat step 2 through step 12 of this procedure, checking toensure that the memory modules are firmly seated in their sockets.14 Run the system memory test in the system diagnostics. See "Running theEmbedded System Diagnostics" on page 126.Removing Memory ModulesWARNING: The memory modules are hot to touch for some time after the system hasbeen powered down. Allow time for the memory modules to cool before handlingthem. Handle the memory modules by the card edges and avoid touching thecomponents on the memory module.CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.
