43 PowerEdge T420 Technical GuideOpenManage connections with third-party consolesDell OpenManage provides connections with many third-party consoles, including: Dell OpenManage Connection for Computer Associates Network andSystems Management—This connection allows you to monitor PowerEdge servers andPowerVault storage arrays from within the Computer Associates Network and SystemsManagement (CA NSM) console. Dell OpenManage Connection for HP Operations Manager—This connection enables severalfunctions through HP Operations Manager, including auto-grouping, SNMP trap reception,global health monitoring, and a context-sensitive launch of OpenManage Server Administrator. Dell OpenManage Connection for IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIBus—This connection providesevent monitoring capabilities to monitor Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell EqualLogic systems. Itallows event monitoring, automatic event correlation, and launching device consoles from theNetcool/OMNIbus console.Dell server management operationsDell OpenManage systems management is centered on automating the server managementlifecycle—deploy, update, monitor, and maintain.
