Restoring a Backup145 After you have created an initial backup, click Start monitoring to haveDataKeeper run in the background and automatically back up files that arechanged.The custom backup options you have selected will be in effect until you changethem.Mobile SupportIf you are using a portable computer remotely and the PowerVault 701N/705N isunavailable when a backup is made, the backup file is automatically saved to thesubstitute local backup destination on your hard disk. You can change the substitutelocation by clicking Browse to the right of the Substitute text box on the Backup tab.If the substitute backup destination on the hard disk is active when you start up andDataKeeper detects the PowerVault 701N/705N, you will be prompted to change yoursubstitute backup location to the PowerVault 701N/705N. When you change to thePowerVault 701N/705N, any backup files on your local hard disk are copied to thespecified PowerVault 701N/705N and deleted from the hard disk. If you choose not tochange your backup location to the specified PowerVault 701N/705N, you will beprompted with the same message the next time monitoring is restarted and thePowerVault 701N/705N is detected.Restoring a BackupYou can restore backed up individual or multiple files or folders in one operation.
