The other end of thedata cable will connect to either an expansion card or to the system board. Most connectors are keyed for correct insertion; that is, a notch or a missing pin onone connector matches a tab or a filled-in hole on the other connector.Power Cable ConnectorsSATA and SAS hard drives should be connected to connectors labeled "HDD" on the system board, with the exception of a fifth SATA hard drive installed in a5.25-inch drive bay, which much be connected to the SATA0 connector. Non-hard drive SATA devices should be attached to the connectors labeled SATA.
