10 Installing the HardwarePower SuppliesOn both the S50N and S50V, either the AC or DC power supplies alone aresufficient to power the switch. When both AC and DC power supplies areconnected, they act in roughly a 60%/40% load-sharing mode.WARNING: To prevent electrical shock, make sure the system is groundedproperly. If you do not ground your equipment correctly, excessive emissionsmay result. Use a qualified electrician to ensure that the power cables meetyour local electrical requirements.FansVentilation is side-to-side, with six fans on the left side of the switch as you facethe PSU side.The fan speed increases when the temperature reaches 72 degrees C, anddecreases to normal speed when the temperature falls to 57 degrees C.
