1. Ensure that the work surface is flat and clean to prevent the computer cover from being scratched.2. Turn off your computer (see Turning Off Your Computer).3. Disconnect all telephone or network cables from the computer.4. Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.5. Close the display and turn the computer upside-down on a flat work surface.6. Slide the battery release latches toward the sides of the computer until they are engaged.7. Slide the battery out of the bay.8. Open the display.9. Press the power button to ground the system board.10.
