You mustenter the Service Tag in the BIOS setup program after you replace thesystem board.NOTE: Replacing the system board removes any changes you have made tothe BIOS using the BIOS setup program. You must make the appropriatechanges again after you replace the system board.NOTE: Before disconnecting the cables from the system board, note thelocation of the connectors so that you can reconnect the cables correctlyafter you replace the system board.Prerequisites1 Remove the base cover.2 Remove the battery.3 Remove the wireless card.4 Remove the solid-state drive.5 Remove the heat sink.Procedure1 Peel off the tape that secures the antenna cables and power-adapter port cableto the system board.2 Disconnect the camera cable, touchscreen cable (optional), power-adapter portcable, and coin-cell battery cable from the system board.68
