You mustenter the Service Tag in the BIOS setup program after you replace thesystem board.NOTA: Replacing the system board removes any changes you have made tothe BIOS using the BIOS setup program. You must make the appropriatechanges again after you replace the system board.Procedure1 Using the alignment posts, place the system on the palm-rest assembly andalign the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.2 Replace the six screws (M1.6x3) that secure the system board to the palm-restassembly.3 Slide the I/O-board cable, the touchpad cable, and the keyboard-controllerboard cable into the system board and close the connector latches to secure thecables.4 Connect the camera cable, the touchscreen cable (optional), the power-adapterport cable, the coin-cell battery cable, the speaker cable, the fan cable, and thedisplay cable to the system board.5 Adhere the tape that secures the antenna cables and power-adapter port to thesystem board.6 Align the screw holes on the display-cable bracket with the screw holes on thesystem board.7 Replace the two screws (M2x3) that secure the display-cable bracket to systemboard.8 Adhere the tapes that secure the speaker cable to the system board.9 Adhere the tape over the display-cable bracket.75
