Write down the error code and problemdescription exactly as it appears and follow the instructions on the screen. Ifyou cannot resolve the problem, contact Dell (see "Contacting Dell" in yourUser’s Guide).NOTE: The Service Tag for your computer is located at the top of each test screen.When contacting Dell support, have your Service Tag ready.The following tabs provide additional information for tests run from theCustom Test or Symptom Tree option:TroubleshootingFollow these tips when you troubleshoot your computer:• If you added or removed a part before the problem started, review theinstallation procedures and ensure that the part is correctly installed.• If a peripheral device does not work, ensure that the device is properlyconnected.• If an error message appears on the screen, write down the exact message.This message may help support personnel diagnose and fix the problem(s).Tab FunctionResults Displays the results of the test and any error conditionsencountered.Errors Displays error conditions encountered, error codes, and theproblem description.Help Describes the test and any requirements for runningthe test.Configuration(Custom Test only)Displays the hardware configuration for the selected device.The Dell Diagnostics obtains configuration information forall devices from the system setup program, memory, andvarious internal tests, and it displays the information in thedevice list in the left pane of the screen.NOTE: The device list may not display the names of all thecomponents installed on your computer or all devicesattached to your computer.Parameters(Custom Test only)Allows you to customize the test, if applicable, by changingthe test settings.
