This valve doesnot automatically adjust for inlet temperaturechanges, therefore, someone must make thenecessary Rotational Limit Stop or temperatureknob adjustments at the time of installation andfurther adjustments may be necessary due toseasonal water temperature change. YOU MUSTinform the owner/user of this requirement byfollowing the instructions. If you or the owner/user are unsure how to properly makethese adjustments, please refer topage 6 (13 / 14 series), page 12 (17 series) orpage 16 (17T series) and if still uncertain, call usat 1-800-345-DELTA.After installation and adjustment, you must affixyour name, company name and the date youadjusted the Rotational Limit Stop or temperatureknob to the caution label provided and apply orattach the label to the back side of the closestcabinet door and the warning label to the waterheater. Leave this Instruction Sheet for theowner’s/user’s reference.WARNING: This pressure balanced orthermostatic bath valve is designedto minimize the effects of outlet watertemperature changes due to inlet pressurechanges, commonly caused by dishwashers,washing machines, toilets and the like. It maynot provide protection from hot water burnswhen there is a failure of other temperaturecontrolling devices elsewhere in theplumbing system, if the rotational limit stopor temperature knob is not properly set or ifthe hot water temperature is changed after thesettings are made or if the water inlet changesdue to seasonal changes.WARNING: Do not install a shut-off device oneither outlet of this valve. When this type ofdevice shuts off the water flow, it can defeatthe ability of the valve to balance the hot andcold water pressures.
