This valve doesnot automatically adjust for inlet temperaturechanges, therefore, someone must make thenecessary temperature knob adjustments atthe time of installation and further adjustmentsmay be necessary due to seasonal watertemperature change. YOU MUST inform theowner/user of this requirement by following theinstructions. If you or the owner/user are unsurehow to properly make these adjustments pleaserefer to page 7 and if still uncertain, call us at1-800-345-DELTA.After installation and adjustment, you must affixyour name, company name and the date youadjusted the temperature knob to the cautionlabel provided and apply or attach the label tothe back side of the closest cabinet door andthe warning label to the water heater. WARNING: This pressure balancedor thermostatic bath valve is designedto minimize the effects of outlet watertemperature changes due to inlet pressurechanges, commonly caused by dishwashers,washing machines, toilets and the like. It maynot provide protection from hot water burnswhen there is a failure of other temperaturecontrolling devices elsewhere in the plumbingsystem, if the temperature knob is not properlyset or if the hot water temperature is changedafter the settings are made or if the water inletchanges due to seasonal changes. WARNING:Do not install a shut-off device on either outletof this valve. When this type of device shutsoff the water flow, it can defeat the ability ofthe valve to balance the hot and cold waterpressures.07/08/2020 1107530
