Use this function to automatically tune to FM stations that provide RDS service.233OSet the band to "FM".Remote control unitSUBTIT_Remote control unitPress the RDS button until "RDSSEARCH" appears on the display.Remote control unitPress the TUNING + (UP) or -(DOWN) button to automaticallybegin the RDS search operation.When a broadcast station is found, that station's nameappears on the display.• If no RDS station is found when all the frequencies aresearched, "NO PROGRAMME" is displayed.Before operating the remote controlunit!• Be sure to set the AV mode usingthe remote controlmode selector buttons, f--_0000® _ ®t-- _----_ G ......3--2--Use this function to find RDS stations broadcasting a designated program type (PTY).For a description of each program type, refer to "Program Type (PTY)".Set the band to "FM". 4Press the TUNING + (UP) or -(DOWN) button to automaticallybegin the PTY search operation.2Remote control unitSUbTiLERemote control unitPress the RDS button until "PTYSEARCH" appears on the display.AUD_0 Watching the display, press the(_. PTY button to call out the desiredprogram type.Remote control unitRemote control unitThe station name is displayed on the display aftersearching stops.• If no station broadcasting the designated program type isfound when all the frequencies are searched, "NOPROGRAMME" is displayed.Use this function to find RDS stations broadcasting traffic program (TP stations)Set the band to "FM". 3Press the TUNING + (UP) or -(DOWN) button TP search begins.Remote control unit Remote control unitThe station name is displayed on the display aftersearching stops.2 SUbTiLERemote control unitPress the RDS button until "TPSEARCH" appears on the display.• If no TP station is found when all the frequencies aresearched, "NO PROGRAMME" is displayed."RT" appears on the display when radio text data is received.1 TOPM_U%Remote control unitTo turn the RT mode on, press theRT button on the remote controlunit until the RT indicator is lit.When the station currently tuned in is offering a radiotext message service, the message scrolls on thedisplay.• When the RT mode is turned on while an RDS radio stationnot offering an RT service is tuned in, "NO TEXT DATA" isdisplayed on the display, then the mode automaticallyswitches to the PS mode.• In the same way, the mode automatically switches to the PSmode when the RT service is finished, tn this case, themode automatically switches from the PS mode back to theRT mode when an RT broadcast is resumed.• The RT mode cannot be set in the AM band or for FMstations not offering RDS broadcasts.• To turn the RT mode off, press the RT button and switch tothe desired display mode.
