We recommend using outdoor antennasand 75 Ω/ohms coaxial cables.For heat dispersal, leave at least 10 cm of spacebetween the top, back and sides of this unitand the wall or other components.B10 cm or morewall10 cm or more2 CAUTIONS ON INSTALLATION• Switching the input function when input jacksare not connectedA clicking noise may be produced if the inputfunction is switched when nothing is connected tothe input jacks. If this happens, either turn down theMASTER VOLUME control or connect componentsto the input jacks.• Muting of PRE OUT jacks, HEADPHONE jack andSPEAKER terminalsThe PRE OUT jacks, HEADPHONE jack andSPEAKER terminals include a muting circuit.Because of this, the output signals are greatlyreduced for several seconds after the power switchis turned on or input function, surround mode or anyother-set-up is changed. If the volume is turned upduring this time, the output will be very high afterthe muting circuit stops functioning. Always waituntil the muting circuit turns off before adjusting thevolume.• Whenever the power switch is in the £ OFFstate, the apparatus is still connected on AC linevoltage.Please be sure to unplug the cord when youleave home for, say, a vacation.3 CAUTIONS ON HANDLING
