If a flat-type cable orunshielded-type cable is used, other devicescould be affected by noise.• If you have an Internet provider contract for a lineon which network settings are made manually,make the settings at “Network” (vpage 40).• With this unit, it is possible to use the DHCP andAuto IP functions to make the network settingsautomatically.• When using this unit with the broadband router’sDHCP function enabled, this unit automaticallyperforms the IP address setting and othersettings.When using this unit connected to a network withno DHCP function, make the settings for the IPaddress, etc., at “Network” (vpage 40).• When setting manually, check the settingcontents with the network administrator.NOTE• A contract with an ISP is required to connect tothe Internet.No additional contract is needed if you alreadyhave a broadband connection to the Internet.• The types of routers that can be used depend onthe ISP. Contact an ISP or a computer shop fordetails.• DENON assumes no responsibility whatsoeverfor any communication errors or troublesresulting from customer’s network environmentor connected devices.• This unit is not compatible with PPPoE. A PPPoE-compatible router is required if you have a contractfor a type of line set by PPPoE.• Do not connect an NETWORK connector directlyto the LAN port/ Ethernet connector on yourcomputer.• To listen to audio or video streaming, use a routerthat supports audio or video streaming.
