When repairing,use the following procedure for effective Self-diagnosis and tilt adjustment. Be sure to use the self-diagnosis function beforereplacing the optical pickup when "NO DISC" is displayed. As a guideline, you should replace the optical pickup when thevalue of the laser drive current is more than 55.Note:Press the power button to turn on the power, and check the value within three minutes before the unit warms up.(Otherwise, the result will be incorrect.)"NO DISC" is displayed, unit doesnot play smoothly, etc.Check the laser drive current.Value is 70 (DVD),55 (CD) or lessValue is more than70 (DVD), 55 (CD)Replace the optical pickup (Referto the section "OPTICAL PICKUPREPLACEMENT PROCEDURE"in this Guide.)Check the laser drive current afterreplacement.Write the present value into theunit if it is 60 (DVD), 45 (CD) orless.Do the optical pickup tilt adjust-ment.
