34Cleaning$ Unplug the scale from theAC power before cleaning.$ To clean the weighing platform:use a piece of cloth, wet witha commercially available cleaningagent (IPA – Isopropyl Alcohol)to wipe it down. Follow themanufacturer’s instructions forthe cleaning agent.! Never use concentrated acids,bases, solvents or pure alcoholto clean the weighing platform.! Do not use high-pressurecleaning equipment to clean theweighing platform.$ If the scale is installed in a pit,make sure that no debris buildsup in the crevices between thepit and the platform to preventweighing errors.$ Regularly remove debris fromthe bottom of the pit.Cleaning the Inside of the Platform$ To clean the inside of the weigh-ing platform, remove the loadplate (applicable for single loadcell platforms).! Please follow the safetyinstructions.$ Use compressed air to blow debrisout of the inside of the scale.Make sure that no debris buildsup in the gap between the loadreceptor and the fastening plateto avoid compromising theoverload protection.Corrosive Environment$ Remove all traces of corrosive sub-stances from the weighing platformon a regular basis.Safety InspectionIf there is any indication that safeoperation of the scale with the AC isno longer guaranteed:$ Turn off the power and disconnectthe equipment from AC powerimmediately$ Lock the equipment in a secureplace to ensure that it cannot beused for the time beingSafe operation of the scale with theAC is no longer ensured when:– There is visible damage to theAC adapter– The AC adapter no longer functionsproperly– The AC adapter has been storedfor a relatively long period underunfavorable conditionsIn this case, notify your nearestservice center or your local dealer.Maintenance and repair work mayonly be performed by servicetechnicians who– Have access to the requiredmaintenance manuals– Have attended the relevant servicetraining coursesCare and Maintenance
