When burner remains lit, set heater at the desiredheat level by slightly depressing the control knoband turning it counterclockwise to the MED orHI settings (see Figure 5, page 5).9. If burner goes out, turn off gas. Slightly depressand turn control knob fully clockwise to OFF.Check fuel supply. If adequate fuel is available,restart heater beginning at step 1, page 5.FLAME PATTERNSFigure 6 shows a correct flame pattern. The burnerflame is mostly blue with a slight yellow coloringon the ends.Figure 7 shows an incorrect flame pattern. Theflame is mostly yellow. The incorrect flame patternresults from low gas pressure or from flashback.CAUTION: Running heaterbelow specified input rating maycause flashback. During flash-back, the burner flame is mostlyyellow. The flame will burn insidethe burner tube, causing a roar-ing noise. If flashback occurs,turn heater off. After burner tubecools, restart the heater.OPERATIONContinuedTO STOP HEATER1. Tightly close propane supply valve on propanetank(s). Allow heater to burn remaining fuelin hose.2. Shut off burner.
