Body temperature will affect itsoperation in the AUTO mode.Safety FeaturesWhen away from home for an extended periodof time or as a child safety feature to preventaccidental ignition of the fireplace, the receiverON/OFF/REMOTE switch should be in theOFF position.Auto Shutoff Feature1. If the average room temperature exceeds82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Centi-grade), the hand-held remote control willperform a safety override and shut thefireplace off. This feature is not availablein the MANU mode.2. The receiver continuously receives signalsfrom the hand-held remote to control theroom temperature. If the hand-held remoteis misplaced, obstructed or for any reasoncannot transmit to the receiver, the receiverwill shut off the fireplace after 8 minutes.Key Pad Lock FeatureThis feature allows the user to lock/unlockthe keypad on the hand-held remote in theMANU or AUTO mode to prevent inadvertentoperation (i.e. children operating the hand-heldremote control, etc.). The keypad is locked ineither on or off. Press the POWER and LOCKbuttons together to turn the unit on or off.INSPECTING bURNERSCheck pilot flame pattern and burner flame pat-terns often.PILOT FLAME PATTERNFigure 36 shows a correct pilot flame pattern.Figure 37, shows an incorrect pilot flame pattern.The incorrect pilot flame is not properly heatingthe thermocouple. When the thermocouple cools,the heater will shut down.
