Do not use heater in basement or belowground level.9. Before connecting heater to the propane/LPtank, make sure the heater regulator knob isin the "OFF" position. Always connect andlight heater in areas free of open flames.10. Mount the propane/LP cylinders vertically(shutoff valve up). Secure them from fallingor being knocked over and protect them fromdamage.11. IMPORTANT: Use only the hose and regulatorassembly provided with the dual burner tanktop heater. Inspect the hose assembly beforeeach use. If there is excessive abrasion or wear,or hose is cut, replace with hose assembly listedon parts list before using heater. The hose andregulator must be protected from damage.12. The heater burner must be at least 2 ft. (.61 m)above the floor. Always attach to propane/LPtank in an upright position. Never operatea heater on its side or attach to propane/LPtank in a horizontal position. This could leadto dangerous flare-ups or fire. Do not directheat toward propane/LP cylinders.13. Maintain minimum clearance from nor-mal combustible materials (like paper)as follows: Sides - 3 ft. (.91 m); Top andFront - 5 ft. (1.5 m). Locate 10 ft. (3 m) fromcanvas or plastic tarpaulins or similar cover-ings and secure them to prevent flapping ormovement due to wind action.14. If at any time gas odor is detected, IMME-DIATELY DISCONTINUE operation untilthe source of gas has been located and cor-rected.
