When the heater is working properly:• The emmitter screen is glowing bright orang-red.• There are no flames above the burner.• The flame is burning on the surface of the screenand not inside the burner (flashback).• There is no strong disagreeable odor, eye burn-ing or other physical discomfort.• There is no smoke or soot internal or externalto the heater.• There are no unplanned or unexplained shutdowns of the heater.The parts lists and exploded view show the heateras it was constructed. Do not use a heater which isdifferent from that shown. In this regard, use onlythe hose, regulator and cylinder connection fitting(called a POL fitting) supplied with the heater.IMPORTANT: For this heater, the regulator mustbe set as shown in Specifications, page 2. If thereis any uncertainty about the regulator setting,have it checked.TECHNICAL SERVICEA heater which is not working right must be re-paired, but only by a trained, experienced serviceperson.
