Never install the log set• in a recreational vehicle• where curtains, furniture, clothing or otherflammable objects are less than 42" fromthe front, top or sides of the log set.• in high traffic areas• in windy or drafty areas4. Before installing in a solid fuel burning fire-place, the chimney flue and firebox mustbe cleaned of soot, creosote, ashes andloose paint by a qualified chimney cleaner.Creosote will ignite if highly heated. Inspectchimney flue for damage. If damaged,repair flue before operating appliance.5. Do not operate heater if any log is broken.Do not operate heater if a log is chipped(dime-sized or larger).6. Immediately calla qualified service technician to inspectthe room heater and to replace any partof the control system and any gas controlwhich has been under water.13. Turn log set off and let cool before servic-ing, installing or repairing. Only a qualifiedservice person should install, service orrepair log set.14. Provide adequate clearances around airopenings.15.
