The groupseeks to develop and promote a universally compatible, rewritable DVD format toenable true convergence between personal computing and consumer electronicsproducts.DVD FLLC (Format, Logo, Licensing, Corporation)DVD Format/Logo Licensing Corp (DVD FLLC) was established in 2000 to handleissuing of the DVD specifications, granting licenses to manufacturers and policingthe use of the DVD logos. All manufacturers of hardware, discs and related DVDproducts must be licensed and first products verified to ensure that all players willplay all discs. The correct logos must be used for the appropriate products in theappropriate way.
