Using your TV 11Connecting an analog audio deviceTo connect an analog audio device:• Connect one end of an audio cable to the AUDIO IN L and R jackson the audio device, then connect the other end of the cable tothe AUDIO OUT jacks on the back of your TV.Connecting a computerNote: Make sure that the VGA cable has a ferrite core.To connect a computer:1 Connect one end of a VGA cable to the VGA jack on the computer,then connect the other end of the cable to the PC-IN jack on theback of your TV.2 Connect one end of a mini-plug audio cable to theAUDIO LINE OUT jack on the computer, then connect the otherend of the cable to the PC-IN AUDIO jack on the back of your TV.Using your TVTurning your TV on or offTo turn your TV on or off:• Press POWER.Warning: When you press POWER to turn off your TV, your TV goes intoStandby mode. It is still receiving electrical power. To completelydisconnect power, unplug the power cord.Note: When your TV does not receive a signal and you do not press anybuttons for 15 minutes, your TV goes into Standby mode.Setting up for the first timeThe first time you turn on your TV, a quick setup program starts that letsyou select a language for the on-screen menu, select the TV signalsource, and scan for available channels.To set up your TV for the first time:1 Make sure that your TV is connected to an antenna, cable TV, orsatellite TV.2 Press POWER. You may have to wait a few seconds for your TV toinitialize. After your TV turns on, the Initial Setup screen opens.3 Press or to select English, Español, or Français, thenpress ENTER. The following screen opens.4 Press or to select Air (antenna) or Cable (cable or satelliteTV), then press ENTER. The following screen opens, and your TVstarts scanning for channels. Your TV stores the channelinformation in the channel list.When the scan is complete, the lowest channel in the channel listis displayed.Notes:The initial setup program only runs once for Air or Cable. If you change theTV signal source, you need to re-scan for channels.
