If casing is removed or handled improperly the internal components of theunit may cause harm or become permanently damaged.bEforE INstallatIoNBefore beginning any installation work you must confirm the following.WIrINg• Check that the electrical supply corresponds to that shown on the rating plate. If the unit is connectedto any electrical supply other than stated on the rating plate of the unit, permanent damage orimproper/unsafe operation of the hand dryer may result.• A means for all-pole disconnection must be incorporated into fixed wiring, in accordance withnational and local wiring regulations.• The unit must be earthed.• When connecting the unit to the electricity supply use cable in accordance with national and locallaws and applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.• If cable entry is to be from the side, it must be secured using plastic or flexible metal conduit andsuitable fittings that lock to the side bracket. The conduit and fittings must be in accordance with localand national regulations. Solid metal conduit is not suitable.• Ensure that the conduit and wires are long enough to connect to the backplate and terminal block.• When wiring the backplate the maximum length for the wire’s insulation to be stripped back is 6 mm.safEty• Isolate the power before installation.INstallatIoN• Make sure that the unit is installed in compliance with all building codes and/or regulations.• The unit must be mounted on a flat vertical wall capable of supporting the full weight of the unit.• Use fixings as specified in this installation guide.• Ensure no pipe work (gas, water, air) or electrical cables, wires or ductwork are located directlybehind the drilling/mounting area.• Dyson recommends the use of protective clothing, eyeware and materials when installing/repairingas necessary.• All metal parts in contact with this unit MUST be earthed, including any wall covering.do Not usE aNy jEtWash EquIpmENt for clEaNINg oNor NEar thIs uNIt.WarNINg• To avoid damage to the fascia surface during installation, store the fascia in the original packaginguntil it is needed.locatIoN• The unit is designed for dry, internal location only.• Consult local and national accessibility codes and regulations for relevant installation guidelines.Conformity and compliance is the responsibility of the installer.• Ensure the required electrical supply is available for later connection.frcoNsIgNEs dE sÉcurItÉ ImportaNtEsÀ lIrE aVaNt dE poursuIVrE.À conserver pour une utilisation ultérieure.aVErtIssEmENttoute installation ou réparation doit être réalisée par un électricien qualifié ou par un techniciende maintenance dyson conformément à la réglementation ou aux codes locaux en vigueur.aVErtIssEmENtrisque de décharge électrique ! si le boîtier est retiré ou manipulé de façon incorrecte,les composants internes de l’unité peuvent provoquer des blessures ou être endommagés demanière irréversible.aVaNt l’INstallatIoNAvant toute installation, confirmez que les conditions suivantes sont remplies.cÂblagE• Vérifiez que l’alimentation électrique correspond à celle indiquée sur la plaque signalétique.La connexion de l’unité à une alimentation électrique non conforme à celle indiquée sur la plaquesignalétique peut entraîner des dommages irréversibles ou des conditions d’utilisation incorrectes/dangereuses du sèche-mains.• Un moyen de déconnexion omnipolaire doit être intégré au câblage fixe, conformément à laréglementation locale et nationale sur les câblages.• L’unité doit être reliée à la terre.• Lors de la connexion de l’unité à l’alimentation électrique, utiliser des câbles conformes à l’ensembledes lois nationales et locales, ainsi qu’aux codes et normes applicables, y compris pour lesconstructions à indice de résistance au feu.• Si l’entrée du câble se fait par le côté, il doit être sécurisé à l’aide d’une conduite en plastique ouen métal souple et de fixations adaptées verrouillant le support latéral. La conduite et les fixationsdoivent être conformes à la réglementation locale et nationale. Les conduites en métal solide neconviennent pas.• Assurez-vous que la conduite et les fils sont suffisamment longs pour atteindre la plaque arrière et lebornier.• Lors du câblage de la plaque arrière, la longueur maximale d’isolation de câble pouvant être retiréeest de 6 mm.
