Power floor tooJ brush bar not operatingThe brush bar on DC23 Motorhead is powered by its own motor.The brush bar will stop rotating if it becomes obstructed. If the customer is advising that the brush bar is not operating or rotating,this maybe due to the brush bar motor cut-out. The brush bar motor will operate immediately, once the obstruction is cleared andthe power floor tool reset.Ask the customer to plug the machinein and switch ON.Ask the customer to check if thebrush bar is spinning. If spinning andcustomer is happy, end the call. If notask customer to switch machine OFFand continue with these checks.Press the release catch and separatethe telescopic wand from the powerfloor tool.PinsConnectorCheck that the pins on the power floortool are not broken or bent and theconnector on the telescopic wand isnot damaged.Check that the pins on the hose arenot broken or bent and the connectoron the inlet is not damaged.Undo fasteners with a coin andremove both end caps.Remove both brush bar sections andclear any hairifibreo Check power floortool for blockages.Stow micro-switchCheck the stow micro-switch is notbroken or obstructed.Ask the customer to refit the brush barand end caps. Switch machine ON,press brush bar ON/OFF button andtest. If customer is happy end the call.tf not arrange a repair.20
