The RackShield Series canincorporate up to 12 protection modules that canbe individually configured to meet a wide varietyof standard communications protocols includingRS232, RS422, RS485, Lease Line TelephoneNetworks (LLTN) and Public Switched TelephoneNetworks (PSTN).IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSWARNINGNever install external datacommunication wiring during alightning storm.WARNINGThis product is intended forINDOOR USE ONLY.INSTALLATION1. Read and understand all instructions.2. Slide modules into any open bay and pressfirmly to ensure that the module locksinto place.3. To remove module apply pressure to therelease mechanism under the unit and gentlypull out.4. Mount the enclosure in a 19” rack or to thewall by removing and rotating the mountingbrackets.5. Route the data communication line(s) fromthe equipment and connect the line to the“OUT” connector(s) on the enclosure.6. Route the line side of the data communicationline(s) and connect this line to the “IN”connector(s) on the enclosure.7. Be sure to keep the protected andunprotected lines separated.8. Connect the ground to the enclosure groundstud (see grounding section).9. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONModules easily slide-in to the RackShield and
