Page 2 IM05805008KEffective November 20062.1 Electrical Checkout Instructions (For Use with Eaton Cutler-Hammer Remote AlarmPanels)WARNING: The following procedures should be carried out by a qualified electrician familiar with the electricalsafety procedures associated with this product and its associated equipment.2.2 Electric Remote Alarm Panels (Full Service) – For Electrical Schematic Refer to Figure #3Note: The alarm buzzer can be silenced by pressing the ‘Silence Alarm’ pushbutton on the front of the controller.2.2.1 - Turn power on to the Fire Pump Controller and to the Remote Alarm Panel- In the Fire Pump Controller press the ‘Local Start’ pushbutton, the controller will start- The ‘Pump Operating’ light should illuminate and the alarm will sound on the Alarm Panel- Press the ‘Stop’ pushbutton on the front of the fire pump controller2.2.2 - Move the disconnect handle on the Fire Pump Controller to the ‘OFF’ Position- The ‘Common Alarm’ and ‘Phase Failure’ lights should illuminate and the alarm will sound on the Alarm Panel- Move the disconnect handle back to the ‘ON’ Position2.2.3 - Move dip switch #4 in the Fire Pump Controller, located on the top left hand corner of the main board, to theopposite direction- The ‘Common Alarm’ and ‘Phase Reversal’ lights should illuminate and the alarm will sound on the AlarmPanel- Move the dip switch back to the original position2.3 Diesel Remote Alarm Panels – For Electrical Schematic Refer to Figure #4Note: The alarm buzzer can be silenced by pressing the ‘Silence Alarm’ pushbutton on the front of the controller.2.3.1 - Turn power on to the Fire Pump Controller and to the Remote Alarm Panel- Place the controller in the ‘AUTO’ mode by depressing the “AUTO” button- Start the controller either by jumpering the remote start (Terminal #11 & #28) or by dropping the pressure inthe Fire Pump Controller- The ‘Engine Run’ light should illuminate and the alarm will sound on the alarm panel- Place the controller in the ‘OFF’ mode by depressing the “OFF” button- The ‘Controller in OFF Mode’ light will illuminate and the alarm will sound on the alarm panel2.3.2 - Place the controller in the ‘AUTO’ mode by depressing the “AUTO” button- Start the controller either by jumpering the remote start (Terminal #11 & #28) or by dropping the pressure inthe Fire Pump Controller- Place a jumper between Terminal #4 & #11 in the Fire Pump Controller (Low Oil Pressure)- The ‘Engine Trouble’ light should illuminate and the alarm will sound on the alarm panel- Place the controller in the ‘OFF’ mode by depressing the “OFF” button2.3.3 - Place the controller in the ‘MANUAL’ mode by depressing the “MANUAL” button- Place a jumper between Terminal #21 & #11 in the Fire Pump Controller (Low Room Temp.)- The ‘Pump Room Trouble’ light should illuminate and the alarm will sound on the alarm panel- Place the controller in the ‘OFF’ mode by depressing the “OFF” button
