Conformity with standardsThe luminaire is suitable for use in zone 1, 2and 21, 22 hazardous areas acc. toEN/IEC 60079-10-1 and EN/IEC 60079-10-2.The luminaire is conform to the standardsspecified in the EC-Declaration of conformity,enclosed separately.It has been designed, manufactured and testedaccording to the state of the art and toDIN EN ISO 9001:2008 andIEC 80079-34:2011.The luminaire fulfil further requirements, suchas the EC directive on electromagneticcompatibility (2004/108/EC).4. Installation EXITThe respective national regulations as wellas the general rules of engineering whichapply to the installation and operation ofexplosion protected apparatus will have to beobserved (IEC/EN 6007914)!Transport and storage of the luminaire ispermitted in original packing and specifiedposition only!4.1 Opening and closing the light fitting❒ Unscrew the four screws of the cover.❒ The cover can be opened to the moldedhinges. For ease of installation, the cover canbe removed out of the hinges.If putting down take care to preventscratches on the silk screen cover.4.2 Installation of the fittingWarning. Hazard due to electrostaticcharges!Luminaire must not be installed in thevicinity of chargegenerating processes!The luminaire shall be fitted by using the fourmounting clips with suitable fixing screws(Ø: 5 mm, fig. 2) onto a suitable surface.4.3 Mains connectionOpen the cover as described.Pass the cable through the certified Ex cableentry M 20 x 1,5. Use both sealing inserts forcables from 7,0 to 9,0 mm, and the outer sealinginsert only for cables from9,5 to 13 mm.1 LegendeWarningThis symbol warns of a serious hazard.Failure to observe this warning may resultin death or the destruction of property.CautionThis symbol warns of a possible failure.Failure to observe this caution may resultin the total failure of the device or thesystem or plant to which it is connected.1.1 Safety instructionsFor skilled electricians andinstructed personnel in accordancewith national legislation, including therelevant standards and, where applicable, inacc. withIEC/EN 60079-14 on electrical apparatus forexplosive atmospheres.– The light fitting must not be operated inzone 0 or 20 hazardous areas!– The technical data indicated on the lightfitting are to be observed!– The requirements of theEN/IEC 60079-31 regarding excessive dustdeposits and temperature to be consideredfrom the user.– Changes of the design and modificationsto the light fitting are not permitted!– The light fitting shall be operated asintended and only in undamaged and perfectcondition!– Only genuine CEAG/Cooper Crouse-HindsGmbH (CCH) spare parts may be used forreplacement!– Repairs that affect the explosion protection(see national standard), may only becarried out by CEAG/CCH or a qualified“electrician”!– Do not keep these operating instructionsinside the light fitting during operation!The national safety rules and regulations forprevention of accidents and the followingsafety instructions which are marked with an () in these operating instruction, will have tobe observed!2.
