3Call points sM87BG/pBEnglishCall points sM87BG/pB TM146 January 2023 www.eaton.comSM87PB General arrangementSM87PB units - operationThe unit is operated by lifting the flap on the front of thecover, then depressing the steel actuator underneath.Depending on the unit type ordered, the actuator willeither remain in its depressed position (latching versions)or return to its original position (momentary versions).SM87PB units - resetting procedureOn units with a latching mechanism, once operated,the actuator remains in its depressed position. To resetthe call point, lift the flap on the front of the cover andinsert the key (provided with the unit) into the slot inthe front face of the actuator. The key should be turnedslightly to locate it in the actuator and pulled back to theinitial position. The actuator will remain in its depressedposition.SM87PB Turn & push – resetting procedureOnce operated the actuator remains in its depressedposition. To reset the call point, lift the flap on the frontcover and pull the actuator out from its depressedposition. Turn the actuator anti-clockwise 90°. The lift flapcan then be lowered.
