Whenthe system is full set, all zones are set. When the system is part set, only the zonesthat belong to the part set are set.A part set may, for example, set thedownstairs areas, leaving the upstairsunset (e.g. for use during the night).Partitioned systemA partitioned system is designed for largerinstallations, such as office blocks occupiedby several companies.A partitioned system consists of severalpartitions (perhaps one per company) thatcan be individually set or unset withoutaffecting the others. In addition, each partition can be set orpart set (part set B, C or D) in exactly thesame way as for a part-setting system.Alarm communicationWhen the system detects an alarm, it startsthe external sounder/strobe units andoperates internal sounders, including thesounder in keypads. If you wish, your installer can alsoconfigure the system to communicatealarms externally to:• An Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), viathe internet or a fixed-line or mobiletelephone network.• An email address (via SecureConnect).• A phone using a text or speechmessage.Note: Communications via the internetis provided as standard. Connecting thecontrol unit to a mobile (4G/3G/2G) orfixed-line (PSTN) phone network requiresthe installer to fit a plug-on module.User optionsAuthorised users can access a Usermenu from a keypad. The menu containsoptions to add users, omit zones, view loginformation, test the system, configure thesystem and switch devices (outputs) on oroff. You can find full details of the user optionsin theAdministration and User Manual.Users and user typesi-on gives you the ability to define manydifferent users, each of which can have aunique access code, proximity tag, remotecontrol, medical/social care pendant andHUA transmitter. Each user has a user type, such as NormalUser, Admin User or Master User. The usertype determines the privileges that theuser has to the system.HUA/panic alarmsYou can generate Hold-Up Alarm(HUA), otherwise known as a panicalarm, from a keypad, a remotecontrol, hand-held HUA transmitteror using a separate panic button.
