G RASS TRIMMEROPERATOR 'S MANUAL 19Cylinder Exhaust PortLevel 3.IMPORTANTThe cylinder exhaust port must be inspected and cleaned of excesscarbon every 3 months or 90 hours of operation in order tomaintain this engine within the emissions durability period. ECHOstrongly recommends that you return your unit to your ECHOdealer for this important maintenance service.CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENTEngine Break-InNew engines must be operated a minimum duration of two tanks of fuelbreak-in before carburetor adjustments can be made. During the break-inperiod your engine performance will increase and exhaust emissions willstabilize. Idle speed can be adjusted as required.High Altitude AdjustmentHigh altitude adjustment is not required for proper operation of thisengine.Level 2.Tools required: Screwdriver, tachometer (Echo P/N 99051130017)Parts required: None.NOTEDo not adjust carburetor unless necessary.
