17Before you start3. While holding the latch release down, pivot the cutter assem-bly using the adjustment lever until it is at the desired cuttingangle.4. Release the latch lock and the latch release. Make sure thelatch lock and the latch release return securely to the straightahead position.5. Remove the blade cover from the cutter blade. The enginenow may be started.Cutter assembly positionThe cutter assembly can be adjusted to ten different positionsranging from 90° to 225° from the outer tube as shown. Alwaysmake sure the lock latch is securely locked after each adjust-ment.Adjusting for Storage or Transportation1. With the engine off, install the blade cover onto the blade.2. Rotate the cutter assembly so it is straight to the tube.3. Make sure the blade cover is in place on the cutters beforestoring or transporting.1. Travel limiterIMPORTANTThe latch release provides an interlock to help prevent inad-vertent depression of the latch lock.NOTEArticulated hedge trimmer is equipped with a travel limiter thatprevents the cutter assembly from rotating outside of the 90°-225° range.
