34Maintenance and careAdjusting nylon line Make sure there is no bystander within 15 m radius and payenough attention to objects in the surroundings before startingoperation. Do not rotate the nylon line cutting head at more than 10000 r/min. Do not hit the nylon line cutting head against hard foreign mat-ters such as rocks, concrete, tree stub and bottle etc. When releasing nylon line from spool hit tap knob of spoolagainst the ground surface lightly at rotation speed lower than4500 r/min. Cut off knife on the shield adjusts cutting swath automaticallyby cutting nylon lines evenly when attachment starts rotating. When operating with less than maximum cutting swath, cuttwo nylon lines in equal lengths.Replacing nylon line1. Press "retaining pawls" (at two places) inward and removecover.It is easier to remove one after another.2. Remove spool.3. When nylon line on the spool is almost exhausted, removeremaining line from spool and wind "new line" according tothe procedures (4) and beyond.When the line on the spool is "melted and stuck" remove theentire line while peeling off the "melted and stuck" portionand wind the "removed line" anew according to procedures(4) and beyond.4. Bend the line at the point 12 cm away from the middle ofwhole length and hook the bent portion into the "notch" of theintermediate separator.5. Wind the line firmly into groove of the spool following "wind-ing direction for the arrow".1. Tap knob2. Hit knob against theground surface lightly3.
