How to operate the USB music file player29VListening to music files in USBmemoryFor details, refer to "Switching AudioModes" on page 14.The procedure for playing music is thesame as that are used to play CDs.Refer to “How to operate the CD/MP3/WMA/AAC player” (page 22 - 25).ATTENTIONIf the USB mode is changed to another modeand then returned to the USB mode, the playerwill return to the previous file played.Searching for a music fileYou can retrieve your desired track in Searchmode.:The search mode is activated.:Search mode items are selected inthe following order.Track search→ File search→Character searchFor Track or File SearchPlayback of the selected music file willbegin.For Character SearchThe selected character will beconfirmed.Playback of the selected music file willbegin.11 Connect a USB memory using theUSB connector.22 Switch to the USB mode.33 Operate the USB music file player.CAUTION12• Do not disconnect the USB memory or turnthe ignition key to ACC OFF position whileaccessing the USB memory. Doing so maycorrupt the data.• Depending on the type connected, the USBmemory may not work in some cases.• The USB memory does not support multi-partition. Also, it does not support USB hub.• It is highly recommended to back up yourdata in case of accidental deletion.• Install and use the USB device in a placethat provides safe operation of the vehicle.• The music files under the copyrightprotection cannot be played.• When connecting a digital audio player tothe USB connector, additional USBadaptors may be required.11 Press the [BAND/ASM] button.2 Press the [BAND/ASM] button toselect the search mode item.3 Turn the [VOL] button to select thetrack number and file number.4 Press and hold the [SELECT]button.3 Turn the [VOL] button to select thecharacter.4 Press the [SELECT] button briefly.5 Repeat steps (3) and (4) to enter allof the characters.6 Press and hold the [SELECT]button.
