Fit the spacers,washers and bolts on the rack sections as shown inFigure 9. The bolts should be centered in the slots of therack sections.With the gate in the fully open position, lay a section ofrack on the pinion. Engage the teeth properly and makesure that the end of the rack is even with the end of thegate and that the rack is level. Spot weld to the gate thespacer that is nearest the pinion.Pull the gate toward the closed position until the pinionis directly under the spacer on the opposite end of therack section and spot weld that spacer.
