Check whether the pilot light isproperly positioned above the mainburner and is not covered by chips, animitation log or pebbles. Check the ignition of the main burnerat full mark or low mark.(the ignition should take placequickly and easily).7.2 Checking for gas leakage.Check all connections and joins for possiblegas leaks by means of a gas leak detector orspray7.3 Checking the burner pressure and thepre-pressureMeasuring the inlet-pressure: Turn off the gas control tap. Open the pressure gauge nipple B (seefigure 1.4) a few turns and connect apressure gauge hose to the gas controlvalve. Carry out this measurement when theappliance is on at full gas mark andwhen it is on the pilot light. If the inlet pressure is too high youare not permitted to connect theappliance.Measuring the burner pressure:Only perform this measurement if theinlet-pressure is correct. Open the pressure gauge nipple A (seefig. 1.4) a few turns and connect apressure gauge hose to the gas controlvalve. The pressure must correspond withthe value indicated in the technicalinfo of this manual (chapter 13). Incase of deviations, get in touch withthe manufacturer.* Close the pressure gauge nipples andcheck these for gas leaks.7.4 Checking the flame image.Allow the appliance to burn for at least 20minutes at full gas mark and then checkthe flame image for:1. Distribution of the flames2. Colour of the flamesIf either one or both points areunacceptable, then check: The positioning of the imitation logsand/or the quantity of pebbles orchips on the burner. The connections of the tube materialsfor leakage (in case of blue flames) Whether the correct restrictor hasbeen mounted The outlet .o Wall terminal the correct sideup and the correct positiono Roof terminal the correctposition Whether the horizontal lengths of theflue pipes have not been exceededWith CO/CO2 measure equipment you havethe possibility to measure the quality of theflue gases and fresh airThere are two measure points between theglass and build-in frame. One for measuring the air intake(B) and onefor the flue gases(A).(see fig.2.6 C, A and B )The ratio of CO2 and CO level may not exceed1:100Example:If CO2 is 4,1 % max CO 410ppmIf the ratio exceeds 1:100 or flue gases aremeasured in the fresh air you should alsocheck the above points.
