1Thank you for buying this cooker. It should give you manyyears of trouble-free cooking if installed and operatedcorrectly. It is important that you read this section beforeyou start, particularly if you have not used a dual fuel cookerbefore.nn This appliance is designed for domestic cookingonly. Using it for any other purpose could invalidateany warranty or liability claim. In particular, theoven should NOT be used for heating the kitchen –besides invalidating claims this wastes fuel and mayoverheat the control knobs.Installation and MaintenanceThis cooker must be installed in accordance with the relevantinstructions in this booklet, with the relevant national andlocal regulations, and with the local gas and electricity supplycompanies’ requirements.Make sure that the gas supply is turned on and that thecooker is wired in and switched on (the cooker needselectricity).The cooker should be serviced only by a qualified serviceengineer, and only approved spare parts should be used.Always allow the cooker to cool and then switch it off at themains before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance work,unless specified otherwise in this guide.Peculiar SmellsWhen you first use your cooker it may give off an odour. Thisshould stop after use.Before using for the first time, make sure that all packingmaterials have been removed and then, to dispelmanufacturing odours, turn the ovens to 200 °C and run for atleast an hour.Make sure the room is well ventilated to the outside air(see ‘Ventilation’ below).
