Extra Handset and Recharge Cradlewith Call-Waiting Caller ID for Use withModels 21025 and 21095User’s GuideEQUIPMENT APPROVAL I NFORMATIONYour telephone equipment is approved for connection to the PublicSwitched Telephone Network and is in compliance with parts 15 and68, FCC Rules and Regulations and the Technical Requirements forTelephone Terminal Equipment published by ACTA.1 Notification to the Local Telephone CompanyOn the bottom of this equipment is a label indicating, amongother information, the US number and Ringer EquivalenceNumber (REN) for the equipment. You must, upon request,provide this information to your telephone company.The REN is useful in determining the number of devices you mayconnect to your telephone line and still have all of these devicesring when your telephone number is called. In most (but not all)areas, the sum of the RENs of all devices connected to one lineshould not exceed 5. To be certain of the number of devices youmay connect to your line as determined by the REN, you shouldcontact your local telephone company.A plug and jack used to connect this equipment to the premiseswiring and telephone network must comply with the applicableFCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. Press the cid/vol ( or ) button to scroll to1YES or2NO, or usethe touch tone pad on your handset to enter your selection.3. Press the mute/program button andHOLD BASE PAGE WAIT FORBEEP shows in the display.4. Press and hold the page/int button on the base of Model 21095 orthe page button on the base of Model 21025 until you hear a longbeep and the handset displaysHANDSET # REGISTEREDdisplays, and you will hear a confirmation tone.If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio ortelevision reception, which can be determined by turning theequipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct theinterference by one or more of the following measures:• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna (that is, the antennafor radio or television that is “receiving” the interference).• Reorient or relocate and increase the separation between thetelecommunications equipment and receiving antenna.• Connect the telecommunications equipment into an outlet on acircuit different from that to which the receiving antenna isconnected.If these measures do not eliminate the interference, please consultyour dealer or an experienced radio/television technician foradditional suggestions. Plug the charge cradle power supply into an electrical outlet.2. Place the handset in charge cradle. The charge indicators turn onto indicate the batteries are charging.I NSTALLING THE H ANDSET B ATTERYNOTE: You must connect the handset battery before use.1. Push down on the top of the battery compartment cover (locatedon the back of each handset) and remove the cover.2.
