If you don’t have amodular jack, call your local phone company to findout how to get one installed.1. If the battery compartment cover is on the handset, slide the cover to remove.2. Plug the battery connector securely into the socket inside the handset batterycompartment3. Place the battery and the wire inside the battery compartment4. Align the cover flat against the battery compartment, then slide it towards thecenter of the handset until it clicks into place5. Charge the handset by placing it in the telephone base or charging cradle. When storing a calling card access number and/or PIN in thephonebook, a pause is also needed.Example: If you need to dial the line access number “9” when making outsidecalls with PBX:1.
